Community Redevelopment Strategy and Implementation Plan

This GIS and mapping project served as the base for the community's redevelopment plan.

This report, funded by the New York State Department of State under the Quality Communities Grant program, identified opportunities and constraints for redevelopment in the Village of Rouses Point, New York. AES prepared a GIS project that included a dozen different layers of land use information. Utilizing resources such as the NYS GIS Clearing House, USDA Soils Inventory, Federal Wetlands Inventory, DEC Wetlands Inventory, and Clinton County Real Property GIS, we created a comprehensive GIS base map. We then created several additional layers from scratch, including: zoning districts layer, municipal water system layer, municipal sewer system layer, and a municipal storm sewer system layer.
