AuSable Forks Fire Station Renovation

Renovations and efficiencies for the AuSable Forks Fire District Fire Station.

Phase 1 of the project was replacement of existing cast-iron sectional boiler and appurtenances. The single boiler was replaced with (2) LP-fired condensing boilers, chosen for their efficiency, reduced foot print, and flexible venting options. The boilers and piping were sized to accommodate Phase 2 of the project, which will include a 4-Bay, approximately 3,000 square foot addition. The boilers also provide indirect hot water for the fire station’s domestic hot water needs. Energy efficient ECM circulator pumps were installed in place of existing 3-piece circulator pumps. The fire station will see dramatic savings in fuel and electricity costs this winter
